I am posting a poem I wrote a few days after our first date, exactly 5 years ago.
Agnostic First Date
We didn’t kiss. We didn’t
even touch. I held you
at the end of a long
string. In the park, something
tectonic
like an ice floe
hedged past
while you twirled me fast between two invisible fingers.
